An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has made an insistent landing due to a malfunction at Anuradhapura Air Force base around 10.30am.
Sri Lanka has no tsunami threat
Massive earthquakes have occurred in Japan (6.9 Richt:sc) and Indonesia (6.6 Richt:sc) around 6.30 am. Indonesia warned about a tsunami threat but it will not affect Sri Lanka.
